Shirley and I have the joy of spending the day, Sunday, May 6th, with Pastor David Johnston and Temple Baptist Church in Laurens, SC.  There will be a church-wide meal after the morning service.  The evening service begins at 6 p.m.  The church is located at 21215 U.S. Hwy.  76 E., Laurens, SC.

On Monday, April 23rd, Shirley had blood drawn before her cancer treatment, to test the CEA level of her cancer.  In April of 2017, her cancer activity level was down to 67.  By January of 2018, it had rocketed to over 6,400.  By February, it was over 7,100.  The oncologist stopped her bi-weeekly treatments and, in March, replaced them with weekly chemo infusions.  The latest test has shown a drop in the acceleration of her cancer: her numbers have been reduced to 2,900!  Praise the Lord!  

This has been a great encouragement.  She still must continue with her weekly treatments; however, the reprieve in the cancer's growth has been a fresh breath for Heaven.  Thank you for your prayers.  Please continue to pray for her.
