Pastor Keith Terhune has invited me to participate in a revival meeting at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Liberty, SC. I am scheduled to preach on Monday night and Tuesday night, November 10th and 11th. Services start at 7 p.m. nightly.
I look forward to being back with Pastor Keith. We are living in exciting days. The coming of our Lord and Saviour is nearer than it has ever been. I pray that you are ready to meet Him; and, you can be. You can recognize that you are a sinner and humble yourself by turning from your sin to faith in the only begotten Son of God.
How do you receive Him? By believing from the heart that God has raised Christ Jesus from the dead and confessing with your mouth the Lord Jesus. It is with the heart that man believes unto righteousness; it is with the mouth that confession is made unto salvation. As the Scripture states: Whosoever believes on him shall not be ashamed on that day of judgment called the great white throne.
There is no difference between the Jew and the Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him. For, whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangs on a tree.
Jesus died at Calvary that the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles, that we might receive the promise of the Spirit of God through faith in Jesus Christ.
The Scripture has concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to all them that believe. The law was our schoolmaster, to bring us unto Christ that we might be justified by faith. And now that faith (that is, Christ) is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster: for ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
As a child of God, justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, we do not make void the law through faith: we establish the law. For, when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves. We show the work of the law written in our hearts, our conscience also bearing us witness, and our thoughts the meanwhile accusing or else excusing ourselves.
The doers of the law shall be justified before God, not the hearers of the law, in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ according to the gospel the Apostle Paul preached. This is the same gospel Isaiah declared, crying, Lord, who hath believed our report?
Jesus Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; he was buried, and he rose again the third day, according to the scriptures. Now, God commands all men, everywhere, to repent. He commands us to believe on the name of his Son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another, as he gave us commandment.
